Whether you have never touched a surfboard or you have been surfing for years, our coaching adapts to where you are. Every participant is grouped by level, so no one ends up in the wrong session — even if you are travelling with people at a different stage.

First contact with the ocean
Designed for those who have never surfed before. We cover everything from beach safety to catching your first waves, in a supportive and patient environment with small groups.
What you will work on
- Ocean awareness and water safety
- Understanding waves and how to read them
- Paddling technique and correct pop-up
- Riding whitewater waves with control
- Building confidence in the water
Our approach
Land drills before entering the water, foam boards for stability, small groups with individual coaching and clear feedback every session.
Building a solid foundation
You have had your first contact with surfing and want to develop consistency. We focus on the technical fundamentals that will support your progression at every level.
What you will work on
- Consistent pop-up with correct foot placement
- Paddling efficiency and board positioning
- Riding whitewater waves with direction and control
- Surf etiquette and basic line-up awareness
- Introduction to steering and first turns
Our approach
Foam board sessions with targeted drills on pop-up, balance, and wave timing. Video feedback to identify and correct technique early.
Into the line-up
The step from whitewater to the line-up is as much mental as it is physical. We focus on building the awareness and ocean reading skills that will make you a safer, smarter and more confident surfer from this point forward.
What you will work on
- Line-up safety and situational awareness
- How to paddle out efficiently using currents and avoiding breaking wave areas
- Reading waves — understanding how they form, break and where to position
- Positioning in the line-up and priority rules
- First green wave rides with correct take-off timing

Strong focus on ocean awareness and wave reading before and during sessions. Real-time coaching in the line-up, surf theory on wave mechanics, currents and line-up dynamics.
Technique, timing and consistency
You are surfing — now let’s make every wave count. We identify the specific aspects that are limiting your progression and build a clear plan to address them.
What you will work on
- Wave selection, positioning and take-off timing
- Bottom turn mechanics and first top turn
- Surfing different spots and wave types
- Improving consistency on both your forehand and backhand
- Surfing crowded line-ups — positioning, priority and decision-making under pressure
- Accelerating progression through regular video analysis

Desfrute de vistas panorâmicas da Baía de Papoa na nossa Surf House, situada numa falésia. É o refúgio ideal para surfistas que procuram conforto e ligação com quartos com vista para o mar, uma cozinha partilhada e um ambiente tranquilo.
BEACH HOUSE
Fique a poucos passos da praia principal de Peniche na nossa acolhedora Beach House. Desfrute de vistas para o mar, uma cozinha totalmente equipada e uma atmosfera relaxante, perfeita para desanuviar após um dia de surf.
A minha experiência na PKSC foi absolutamente incrível! Como surfista iniciante, não podia ter pedido uma melhor introdução ao desporto. Os instrutores de surf não eram apenas experientes, mas também incrivelmente simpáticos, tornando todo o processo de aprendizagem tranquilo e agradável. O equipamento fornecido era de primeira qualidade e a localização da praia era perfeita. Apaixonei-me completamente pelo surf graças à PKSC! Quer seja um iniciante ou um surfista experiente, este campo é versátil e atende a todos os níveis de habilidade. Recomendo vivamente a PKSC a todos os que procuram apanhar umas ondas. Vim para o PKSC por uma semana de campo com o meu irmão e foi o melhor momento do nosso verão! Nunca tínhamos surfado antes, mas divertimo-nos imenso e aprendemos o básico do surf em apenas alguns dias. Ele tem apenas 15 anos, mas já conseguiu apanhar algumas ondas e surfar até à praia. Eu não pratico desporto diariamente, por isso estava preocupada se ia conseguir, mas os professores são muito bons aqui e ajudaram-me imenso. As aulas eram adaptadas ao nosso nível de habilidade todos os dias, o que acho que é ótimo. Deu-me confiança para continuar a tentar e fez com que quisesse voltar no próximo ano! 🙂 É um lugar lindo para passar o verão e aprender a surfar, recomendo absolutamente.
Já experimentei várias escolas e acho que esta adaptou-se melhor a mim. Boas vibrações dos professores e uma atmosfera fantástica na água. Apreciei a teoria na praia antes de entrarmos na água. Na água, após cada tentativa, recebi feedback sobre como posso melhorar. Já estou a planear a minha próxima viagem a Peniche e à PKS 🏄🏻♀️🌊💪
Surfar era o meu sonho e tornou-se realidade. Obrigado, equipa PKSC, pelos 5 dias fantásticos que passámos em Peniche. Ficámos alojados na casa da praia, que fica perto da escola PKSC. Entre as aulas, pode desfrutar do almoço no café deles ou simplesmente apanhar sol no terraço com uma vista maravilhosa para o oceano. Os instrutores cuidaram de todos os alunos e ajudaram cada um deles a apanhar uma onda!
